Trailing at the quarter-hour mark on their own turf, Clément Bourdeverre's players found the resources to see off Langueux, an R1 side. A brace from Shelsea Petit Homme in the 30th and 35th minutes sealed a place in the last four of the Coupe de Bretagne for the Rouge et Noir.
The draw for the semi-finals will take place on Wednesday evening. The other qualifiers are CPB Bréquigny, Plérin FC and US Saint-Malo.
The coach's reaction:
« We hadn't necessarily imagined this scenario. They were a good side. We had a lot of trouble and I think we didn't play with enough intensity. We didn't find ourselves, we tried to make things too complicated. We wanted to find the balance too quickly, which meant we were too disorganised. We were happy to come back from 2-1 down at half-time. In the second half, our collective intentions were better. It wasn't a great game but it was good in terms of determination. Because even when you can't do it, you have to be able to go out and get a result. I'm satisfied with the group, but it shows that there's still work to be done if we're to go all the way. It's a good reminder that we can't take everything for granted. We know that the opposition is going to be even tougher in the next round. We'll have to show that we've moved on. »
