« It was a match we wanted to control and I think we did. Unfortunately, we lacked accuracy, impact and the ability to make better choices, then we lacked intensity and Lens opened the scoring. We gave them an opportunity from a set-piece.

How much can this team improve? As soon as we have a moment of strength, we have to make the most of it. When we get into the penalty area, we lack weight. It's consistent, but we're failing to hurt our opponents, we've got possession and we should be leading when the half-time whistle goes. The start of the second half was no good, they had this situation and they seized it. We weren't able to make the difference.

We made some changes up front with the introduction of Kyogo Furuhashi and Kazeem Olaigbe. Kader Meïté is still showing that he can make an impact. He's a bit rubbish, which is logical, but he's showing the way in terms of fighting spirit. We need to follow in his footsteps.

Mikayil Faye had a very good game. In terms of his position, he's Lilian's replacement. He showed all his qualities. He needs to be more dynamic in training; he knows what he needs to be consistent.

We've lost two games and we need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible, so we're going to work hard to do better against Angers. »

« We did what we wanted to do in the first half by going after them high up the pitch and showing a lot of intensity. We were too soft in the second half and that cost us the goal. There are a lot of regrets. We need to be a lot more effective, especially me. I had a great chance that should have gone in. We came here with our heads held high, looking for something. We could have done a lot more and in the end we came away with nothing.

On the action in the 44th minute: I didn't fall for nothing, the defender grabbed my ankle and I thought it was a foul. I can't continue my run and I can't stay on my feet, but the choice was made. It's a shame, there are a lot of cameras around... »

Adrien Truffert
« We know that this kind of match is decided by details. We took the goal from a set-piece two minutes after the interval. We weren't able to score at our best and tonight we're paying for it. We can't throw everything away, we mustn't give up. There are still games to come and we're building something. We need to keep working. »
