Désiré Doué, who has played 39 games this season, has confirmed his talent on the pitches of France and Europe. He has been with the club since the age of six, and at just 18 has already racked up 73 professional appearances (8 goals and 7 assists).
The midfielder has been nominated for the UNFP trophy for best young player of the 2023/2024 season, along with Eliesse Ben Seghir (ASM), Rayan Cherki (OL), Leny Yoro (LOSC) and Warren Zaïre-Emery (PSG).
After Ousmane Dembélé in 2016 (winner) and Eduardo Camavinga in 2021, Désiré is the third player from Rennes to be nominated in this category.
The ceremony will take place on Monday 13 May.
