Jean Grumellon

A talented footballer, Jean Grumellon joined the Free French Forces during the Second World War. Once the war was over, he signed for Stade Rennais, then known as SRUC, in 1947. The international forward racked up a string of goals, including top scorer in the Elite League in 1950. Under the Breton banner, he discovered the French national team. Positioned on the left wing or in midfield, he became a club legend. Jean Grumellon went on to play for Monaco, Nice and Le Havre before returning to SRUC in 1956. Under Henri Guérin, the Rennes troops won the French D2 championship.
Cyril Jeunechamp

Cyril Jeunechamp arrived at Rennes from Bastia in 2002 with a reputation for devastating bursts of attacking play, strong interventions and infectious determination. He quickly made a name for himself as a sharp, combative player. A regular captain and a key figure under László Bölöni, the number 27 made his mark on SRFC fans. A centurion in the Rouge et Noir, he went on to play for Nice and then Montpellier.
Simon Pouplin

Simon Pouplin trained at Stade Rennais F.C. and went on to become a first-team goalkeeper. In a historic victory over Nantes, he saved a penalty from Claudiu Keserü. A consistent performer, he showed off his full range of skills. The goalkeeper made his Bundesliga debut in 2008, signing for Freiburg, before returning to France to play for Sochaux and Nice.
Hatem Ben Arfa

At both Nice and Rennes, Hatem Ben Arfa has not left fans indifferent. A brilliant player at Rennes, he won the French Cup in 2019, becoming the technical leader of the Breton side. The talented attacking midfielder, of the 87th generation, only played one season in Brittany.
Amine Gouiri

Amine Gouiri arrived from Nice in 2022 and has put in some fine performances. He scored twice against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League. The striker is the latest player to join Stade Rennais F.C. from the Côte d'Azur club.
Frédéric Antonetti, mention spéciale
If he hasn't played for these clubs, it's hard not to mention Frédéric Antonetti. The Corsican coached Nice from 2005 to 2009 and then Rennes from 2009 to 2013. His win ratio is positive, both at OGCN and SRFC.
