Stade Rennais F.C. has bolstered its midfield with the addition of Jordan James, a 20-year-old rising star from Birmingham. After securing Albert Grønbaek and Glen Kamara, the club is excited to welcome its third midfield recruit of the summer.

Standing tall at 1.82 meters, Jordan James quickly established himself as a regular starter for Birmingham, the club where he developed his skills. Since making his professional debut in 2021, James has shown consistent improvement in the Championship, proving himself as one of the league’s most promising talents. Last season, he made 42 appearances, scoring a total of 8 goals.

A physical and powerful presence on the field, Jordan James is known for his ability to drive play forward and win duels, complemented by his accurate shooting. Initially selected for Wales’ youth teams and later representing England at the U20 level, James ultimately chose to represent Wales, his father’s homeland. He played in eight matches during the Euro qualifiers.

Upon arriving in Brittany, James expressed his excitement: "I am thrilled to join Stade Rennais F.C., an ambitious and great club. This is a perfect opportunity for me, and I’m very excited. I can’t wait to play with my new teammates and experience French football and Ligue 1. I’m ready."
