Following their success in Guingamp, Rennes will host Olympique de Marseille in the round of 32 of the French Cup over the weekend of 19-20-21 January. Gennaro Gattuso's players won at US Thionville Lusitanos (1-0).

« It's an early big game in the competition but we're lucky to be able to host at Roazhon Park. It will be a form of revenge compared to last season when Marseille won at home against Rennes at the same stage of the competition. It's a prestigious, European opponent. It's going to be an intense match, certainly a close one, and it's going to come down to quality of play, self-sacrifice and desire. With Nice, Marseille and Lyon, January is going to be a busy month in terms of the calibre of opponents. »
