Wales off to a flying start
Jordan James' Welsh side (32 minutes in the second half) made a successful start to their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 3-1 win over Kazakhstan in Cardiff. The Dragons now turn their attention to a trip to Northern Macedonia, who also won their opening game, 3-0 away to Liechtenstein.

 

France's U19 team back to winning ways
Beaten by Spain in their Elite Round opener, France's U19 team returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Latvia. Trailing 1-0 until the 75th minute, the French picked up three precious points with two goals in the money-time. Kader Meïté came on on the hour mark.
