Canada gets back on its feet
On Sunday night, Canada took on the United States in their bid to claim 3rd place in the Concacaf Nations League. Between two sides obviously disappointed by their semi-final elimination, it was the Canucks who found the resources to bounce back. A 2-1 win with Ismaël Koné starting in midfield.
France qualify against Croatia
Beaten 2-0 in the first leg in Split, Didier Deschamps' side made amends by scoring twice in normal time before winning on penalties (2-0, 5-4 on aggregate). Two Red and Black players stood out: Ousmane Dembélé, scorer of the second goal, and Désiré Doué, who celebrated his first cap for Les Bleus before scoring his penalty without a moment's hesitation. France will be in the Final Four.
Red and Black Brice Samba did not play, with Mike Maignan defending the French goal.
