The reaction of Rennes coach William Stanger : " We built up our game and grew in strength as the match went on, certainly helped by Guingamp's sending off. In the end, it's a fairly logical qualification. We didn't concede much. The lads stayed calm and composed and little by little we got the better of them. Guingamp put us under a bit more pressure at the start, but we never panicked. With 11 against 10, the balance of power changes too. We came back with better intentions, a desire to press high and win back high balls. I'm very happy with the state of mind shown by the group - we had a lot of absentees and the young players did the job. We know that in this competition all the players are important and the newcomers showed that today. "
