The Rouge et Noir quickly opened the scoring. Florian Truffert, wearing the armband, converted Amadou Diallo's penalty after just 8 minutes. Pragmatic, the visitors equalised before half-time through Djegou.

The indefatigable Amadou Diallo hit the underside of the bar in the 55th minute, before Nordan Mukiele rounded off his side's win to send them through to the last 16 of the Gambardella.
