First bench, first joy
« What makes me happy is the joy of the players. They put in a huge amount of effort during this match. They were in a difficult situation before this match. We went through a lot of phases in this match. We got off to a very good start, put on a lot of pressure and dominated. Then, obviously, given the energy we put in at the start of the game, we went into a slump and Strasbourg regained control. What's certain is that when you see in 48 hours what they've been able to assimilate, especially in attacking terms, I think it shows that we have a quality squad. They're to be congratulated tonight. »

A hard-fought victory
« If we're honest, we could lose this game too. Brice made the right saves at the right time. Strasbourg had some big moments in the second half and we lost some of our intensity. Success was on our side tonight, but I would have said the same thing to the players if we'd gone 0-0 down. They gave it their all and that's good for us. But we need to keep our distance. The big satisfaction tonight was the three points. I think the players enjoyed the suffering, the running and the effort they put in together. It's just a victory, just a stage, and we're going to keep on working.»

Djaoui Cissé
« He didn't know he was going to play, but he found out when we were talking after Azor Matusiwa's last-minute injury. His performance proves that there are resources here. To play this match at Roazhon Park, in the current context, and to be able to put in such a performance, shows the quality of the Academy's educators. I intend to build on that, and if any of the youngsters in the academy are very good, they'll get their chance. Djaoui Cissé is one of the players who have shown their quality in the last two training sessions, as have Mohamed Kader Meïté and Joël Coulibaly. »

The first game of Kyogo Furuhashi
« He had an opportunity to shoot but you also have to look at the efforts the players make to cut off the opposition's lines. He did everything we asked of him defensively, and we have to value that. It's a new culture for him, a new kind of football, and I think he's happy and smiling. Like Alidu Seidu, these are players who light up when they arrive at the training centre. You want to be contaminated by their energy, it's the notion of pleasure that will allow us to work even harder. »
