Analysis of the match
« I think we controlled things well in the first half. We were unlucky to miss the penalty and the equaliser just after our goal hurt us. In the second half, Arnaud Kalimuendo's absence through injury also had an impact, especially as we were soon on the receiving end of a goal. I think we managed to neutralise Marseille at times. We also created three or four chances in the first half. Unfortunately, things went in Marseille's favour.
When Marseille equalised, they found themselves in an ideal situation, meaning that they were able to move the ball around and move forward extremely quickly, and therefore take control of the game. We, on the other hand, found ourselves somewhat powerless. We tried as hard as we could to create danger but our play was less clear-cut. Once we conceded the second goal, we put in a lot of effort but we lacked clarity. »
Brice Samba's first match
« He had a pretty good game. He's going to help us in the future but today he lacked a bit of understanding of our game, especially in our recovery phase. »
Getting the ball out of defence
« It's true that we struggled in this phase, particularly because OM pressed us so hard. Without the ball, we played a good game, but with it, we lacked audacity and precision. We still have some work to do. »
The accounting situation
« Obviously you have to be concerned, but the situation was already worrying when we arrived. What we wanted to do was provide solutions by organising the team. The team has progressed but hasn't had the opportunity to make much of an impact at the moment. I think we've made progress, but we still have some work to do. »
