The LFP is continuing its major anti-discrimination campaign, with a new section dedicated to the fight against homophobia. Seven weeks after an exceptional mobilisation on a day dedicated to the fight against racism, French professional football is mobilising to fight homophobia in a totally unprecedented way at all Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT stadiums.
Logo for the occasion
On the pitch, all the players will take action by wearing a special shirt featuring a specific logo symbolising their commitment to combating homophobia. In addition, to mark the total involvement of the competitions organised by the LFP, the competition badges for Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT will also change and become rainbow-coloured.
Everyone else involved in the matches will also be mobilising for this special weekend. Referees, coaches and delegates will be wearing a special armband, while all match officials and journalists will be invited to wear a pin.
Auction sale
Following on from this weekend of Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT dedicated to the fight against homophobia, an auction of the shirts worn by the players will be launched from Wednesday 22 May 2024 at 4pm until Sunday 9 June 2024 at 3pm on the MatchWornShirt platform. All proceeds from this sale will then be donated to four anti-discrimination associations with which the LFP works throughout the year: the Licra, the Fondation pour le Sport Inclusif, Foot Ensemble and Her Game Too.
