2022, start of the Ligue 1 season, Stade Rennais F.C. host Ajaccio. Adrien Truffert set up Martin Terrier on the left wing with a neat pass, the striker controlled the ball on the edge of the area, duelled with Thomas Mangani and unleashed a heavy right-footed drive to open the scoring. With Rennes leading 1-0, the striker unleashed his dart in front of the home fans. "At the time, I was doing some work with a friend. I'd bought a dart machine, we'd play during the breaks, and he told me to find a celebration to wink at him. Against Ajaccio, it came naturally. I like the symbolism, darts can remind you of moments with family and friends, festive moments".

Darts at the training centre

The centre-forward has been at his best with the Rouge et Noir, continuing his fine form. After the win over Ajaccio, he continues to regularly mime throwing a dart to celebrate his goals, particularly in the derby against Nantes. "I also play in the training centre after the training sessions, we have some good players, Bourige', Baptiste and recently Gauthier, he's a good recruit (laughs)".

Alongside Marcel Aubour and Kaba Diawara, Martin Terrier features in the collection created with Maison Transversale. The striker appreciated the gesture. "I think it's already well represented, I'm recognised and I'm proud. It also proves that I have been and still am important to the club, which is a new source of motivation."
