It's hard to miss Mohamed Kader Meïté, who stands at 1m92 tall. Strong, powerful and talented, the striker has made a name for himself on the front line since joining Stade Rennais F.C. from the youth academy in 2022. Selected for the French U16 and U17 teams (scoring 2 goals) and a regular for the Rouge et Noir, the native of the Paris region has also made a successful debut in National 3. On 7 September, he celebrated his first start against Pontivy, scoring his first goal after just 2 minutes. His progress has been linear, sometimes lining up under William Stanger at U19 level or with Sébastien Tambouret's U-21 team.
After spells with CA Paris 14, Paris Alésia, US Villejuif and US Montrouge, Mohamed Kader Meïté has signed a long-term deal with Stade Rennais F.C., initialling his first professional contract until 2028.
Mohamed Kader Meïté :
« I'm very happy, it's a childhood dream come true. I'm a Rouge et Noir and it's up to me to work hard to repay the trust that's been placed in me. My objectives are to make progress and score goals. I'm very happy to be at Stade Rennais F.C. and I just want it to continue.»
Denis Arnaud, Académie Director :
« It shows that the project is continuing and is a reward for the teams who work with the boys on a daily basis. The presence of the Chairman and Frederic Massara also shows how important training is to the club.
For Kader, it's a reward for all his hard work. The hardest and most beautiful things are yet to come, and it's up to him to write his own history with Stade Rennais F.C. He's a very good lad, who listens, wants to progress, and has great athletic qualities. He's made a lot of progress in terms of his mentality and independence. I'm convinced that he'll have opportunities to break into the professional squad if he continues along this path.»
