Mousa Al-Tamari stands out
Jordan went four games unbeaten against Palestine. Dominant from the outset (2 goals in 10 minutes), Mousa Al-Tamari and his team-mates won 3-1, the Red and Black striker scoring his country's third goal before half-time. The result sees Nashama leapfrog Oman and take their place on the podium in Group B of the World Cup qualifiers, three points behind South Korea, whom they face on Tuesday, and level on points with Iraq.

No final for Canada
Midfielder Ismaël Koné's Canucks were unable to hold off Mexico (0-2) and will miss out on the final of the Concacaf Nations League. In the other semi-final, Panama caused a sensation by eliminating three-time defending champions USA (0-1). The Canadians will now face the USA for third place in the tournament on Sunday.

Defeat for France
Les Bleus missed out on the first leg of their Nations League quarter-final after being beaten 2-0 by Croatia in Split. The Tricolores will have to do better in the return leg if they are to reach the last four. Brice Samba did not play.

Japan wins
Japan came out on top against Bahrain, winning 2-0. Kyogo Furuhashi did not start.
